Cowls

This is what I worked on for Christmas gifts this year. Made 5 of them, 3 of the same pattern, and 2 a little simpler (faster!)...

With a twist...

Crocheted belt accessory

I made this for my step-sister Nichole's 11th birthday. I am giving it to her along with a "Beginning Crochet" book, size G hook, book of scarves and belts patterns, and some fun yarn.

Stretch bracelets

These are Red Malachite and Lemon Chrysoprase.

Necklace and bracelet set

Rose Quartz and Rhodonite and Swarovski crystals - very pink!

Valentine's Jewelry

I made this with Rose quartz and heart-shaped link chain.

Crocheted bags

I learned how to crochet! I made this for Christmas for my girls and for Gwynhevere for her birthday. They are each a little different, shape and different handles, and each a little irregular, LOL!

Cable knitted pillow front

I finally finished this knitted pillow cover. It is my first project with cable stitches, isn't perfect but I think I got the general idea. :-) I will just do a plain back and stuff it.

Recent project

Haven't had much time to knit over the last year... but I do have an ongoing project I wanted to mention here at least. I have been working on a white cable knit pillow for a cousin's baby. I was almost done with the front when summer hit and it's just too hot to hold yarn in your hands, and then I broke my wrist... I hope to get back to working on it Sunday evenings at Amanda's.

Coonskin hat all done!

Well, it ended up better than I thought! I had to buy more yarn, couldn't find the rest of what I had used on top. The color is a bit off, but not really noticeable. Will really likes it which is the most important! It stays on his head quite well now that the tail is on. The tail was fun and looks more realistic than I thought too, especially since I couldn't find any hairy black yarn. It was a great project and I am rather proud of myself. :) To see pics of Will wearing it, visit his blog.

Coonskin hat

Okay, so the coonskin hat didn't turn out the greatest. It looks like a toupee! Pretty funny. I think I messed up on the ridge part where you grab a stitch four stitches below the one you are about to knit and knit them together... it was hard to count with this fuzzy yarn and I don't think I got the right stitch all the time. Anyway, Will likes it. I still have to add the tail... but right now can't find the yarn, urggh... More when I get it done!
